The stage coach created the need for places for travelers to stay as they journeyed along the trail in the early 1800’s. Several examples of these inns can still be found along the US 12 Heritage Trail. If you are looking to experience US 12 to the fullest – you’ll receive no warmer welcome than at one of the quality B&B’s. Elsewhere, hotels provide comfortable accommodations; and for those on a budget, excellent camping and RV parks combine countryside access with economy.
